Resource Theme HSlider resets all style parameters on change

Question

Create a HSlider then a Resource, choosing theme and set the type as a HSlider then apply this to the HSlider theme.

When changing the Resource > Theme > “Type” HSlider Styles from StyleBoxFlat to any other it resets all the parameters of the HSlider causing it to become invisible unless I manually retype every value and this also happens even when trying to change back to the original styleboxflat why?

When you do that you are creating a new StyleBox Resource with its default values. It won’t keep the old values because it’s a new object. You’ll need to setup it as you need after.
