Rigidbody 3D Question?

Hello All,

I have been playing around with Godot under the guise of learning but more about having some fun, anyway I had this barrel stacked on top of a chest with Rigidbody 3D (cylinder collider) and deliberately rotated it so it would fall off and it did. Had a good laugh over that. Then i decided to put a barrel on its side, on the ground and try and roll it with my FPS controller, and when I ran directly at the barrel on it’s side nothing happened, though, if I hit the barrel from a 45 degree angle it would roll, then I could get directly behind it to roll faster. So, what is causing this behaviour? And is there any way I can modify the barrel to roll when I run directly at the barrel?

Yep, that worked a treat! Barrel is really rolling along now :rofl:. Roll out the barrel we’ll have a barrel o’ fun.
