Should weapons and armor be attached to characters in Blender or Godot?

How should we attach weapons and armor for 3D characters?
If we use Godot, then we can’t really see what we’re working with in Blender.
If we use Blender, then we will have to hide or remove the gear that’s not in use, or at least its type.

Add them in blender. Export them as separate models. Then you can do what you want with them in Godot.
