Shout out to the community. Particle library?

Hello!

There is a particular community-driven website that has the shaders uploaded by the people for others to use. https://godotshaders.com/

This is really great resource for everyone. You can upload your work. And you also can use other people’s work if you’re bad at godot shaders.

I think that would be really cool if we had something similiar but for the particles.

Any kind of particles, 2D and 3D ones. It’s really complicated part at being able to create/use particle textures and set them in such a way tha they would look beautiful and fittingly. Nearly, same can be said about the shaders.

Just an idea. I am unable to create such resource but perhaps someone or some people would actually turn it into reality. I don’t know.

Yeah have used that website for ages. Definitely one of my favourite parts of Godot is how giving the community is. Most shaders there are either cc0 or MIT which makes it easy to work with in both professional and private contexts, especially cc0 since occasionally forgetting to credit does happen. (You should credit even if the license is cc0 don’t miss understand me but it does occasionally happen that you can forget or a certain asset gets buried.)
