Does anyone know how to use an area2D node to detect collisions with a tilemap?
I’ve got a system for my character2D to detect individual tiles on my Tilemap and tell me using atlas cords what tile it is. I am now trying to the same thing with an area2D node but have had a lot more trouble. I’m not sure what to use as the node is supposed to be stationary upon start and if I can figure out how to detect tilemap collisions will use it to replace overlapping tiles with different ones.
For context I am making a game for DTC and in this game have these scenes called stains that I want to upon start make all tiles overlapping with their area2D to make them dirty to slow player movement.
If anyone has advice on how to go about this I’d appreciate anything.
