Question
Here’s a GIF of what’s going on. Mario and Goomba colliding.
I’m wondering why the visible collision shape in the debug is not showing me any actual collisions and yet a collision is happening. There are no other collision shapes involved here, the ones you see is all there is to it. I know those shapes are the ones involved because if I shrink Goomba’s collision box bellow its eyes, a collision doesn’t occur. The other strange thing is that this is the only instance I have found so far of these boxes behaving erratically. For any other case you would expect normally, like jumping on the Goomba or colliding with him from the sides, the collision shapes are working pixel perfect. Messing around with the collision shape in the inspector didn’t do anything, either.
