The Godot Client isnt receiving Keyboard Inputs for the game and editor

4.6.3 stable, but the error was also on the previous stable version

Question

I am on Fedora KDE 44,
the editor doesn’t receive mouse inputs no matter what version it is and where it was installed from.

I tried it both in Wayland and x11 and the app doesn’t receive any input other than mouse inputs.

i don’t know what to put here so follow up questions are welcome

This is an issue with Wayland, and will be resolved in version 4.7

What WM are you using, and are you using a version from Flathub? When I tried a containerized version of Godot I had a number of problems

There’s currently an issue with Godot on Wayland where mouse input is ignored, and that is solved in coming release 4.7. But I misread your post and that doesn’t seem to be the problem you have.

Firsty i was using the version installed From Fedora Linux. But after seeing the problem, i deleted it and installed the X86 edition straight from the website. so flatpaks here

Wait, i just opened godot rn and its working!

yesterday i was installing as many system updates as possible and restarting my pc,
i didn’t realize that one of those updates and restarts must have fixed it!

if the problem occurs again, then ill reopen this thread. but till then ig its solved
