Question

Im trying to make a basic puzzle platformer, and i need to add spikes and lava, but i can’t figure out how to have the blocks from the tilemap to detect collision and send a signal, anyone know anything about this?

To do collision, you can assign collision shapes manually to the tiles. As for the “death” or “damage” stuff, you can make simple events attached to these areas that “kill” the player. And since collisionshapes are invisible, you can just make the shapes the size of whatever area you need. If you program it right (and listen for a specific player object) you can even avoid having to manually connect signals at all if the events are self-contained.
