Hello everyone!
This is my first time showcasing something out here and I wanted to show you what I have been developing for the past few months.
I was really inspired by Tiny Glade’s building system and wanted to see how hard is it to make something similar, short answer: really hard…
Basically I’ve had an idea for a cozy sandbox game where you can build your own little town and basically world build, where NPCs are not assigned to tasks and other things but as you build context for them they are doing their own thing - transporting food or meddling in things - just making the whole town feel more alive, and the NPCs are small spirits btw ![]()
Here are a few videos with me playing around with it:
Also a small doodle I created while playing around with the system (it is a little bit outdated though)
I am also in the making of a landscape system but that is extremely rough looking so far, and I had to take a detour to learn some compute shaders and what not to be able to create the landscape system I want:
Let me know what you guys think of this so far, any feedback is more than welcome ![]()
PS. Yeah there are a lot of bugs as of now…
