editor/editor_node.cpp:5424 - An EditorPlugin build callback failed.

The build method threw an exception.

Getting the following errors when trying to test the game I’m working on with a new laptop. I have Mono installed, along with the appropriate SDKs. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here.

Here’s the log and I notice a lot of missing library files.

I’ve never set up the Mono version of Godot, but a few comments from your posted log file:

The path where most of the missing DLL’s is here:

C:/Users/GALC/Documents/stuff/godot/GodotSharp/Mono/lib/mono/4.5

  • Does that path exist on your system?
  • If not, what is your Mono install path?
  • Can you find the missing files on your system? If so, where are they located?
  • The double dll.dll here looks suspicious, but could just be a log issue.
    • C:/Users/GALC/Documents/stuff/godot/GodotSharp/Mono/lib/mono/4.5/mscorlib.dll.dll
  • The final backslash (\) here looks suspicious, but is likely OK depending on the command line parser
  • C:/Users/GALC/Documents/stuff/godot/GodotSharp/Mono/lib/mono/4.5\advapi32.dll

Probably the most important thing would be to see if offending DLLs actually exist somewhere else on your system…
