It looks like the last two lines,

var isleft = velocity.x < 0
animated_sprite_2d.flip_h = isleft

are not indented and thus outside of the function? If that’s the case, indenting both lines should fix it:

	var isleft = velocity.x < 0
	animated_sprite_2d.flip_h = isleft
