Upcoming Godot Wild Jam

Just looked around the jams with assets but stumbled on this specifically made jam for Godot -

Did anyone took part in those in past ?

That rule number three means no Kenny’s assets or minimal amount ?

Blockquote
The majority of your game’s code and assets must be made by you, but:
You can use project templates (for example Maack’s Template).
You can use existing assets that you have the rights to (check the license).
The spirit of the jam is to make something new!

So I’m trying playing winners game’s backward from latest to oldest

  • so far all worked in browser ( 89-82 )
  • on winner from 82nd Jam I found something a bit odd - it very satisfying game to draw with invisible ink , but Safari is deciding reload it because it use too much memory :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
    Ink-ognito by ACartlidge

so I check activity monitor and see it keep increasing from 1.4 GB in minute easily to 10GB , does such a things not getting in consideration during judging ?

Same thing noticed on winner from #79

in Activity i measured 19.65 GB RAM used after more less 5 min gameplay , and then Safari reload it .
Is this some bug on side of Dev, Engine, or Apple ?

No way! must be a bug in your mac.

But rest of games seem be working fine.

So far had go at those

Godot Wild Jam Winners - Collection by xcoderioslearn - itch.io - 3 of them had this large RAM consumption

Just quick demonstration , also I have restarted Mac ( and this was only thing running in Safari)

I got 24th place for Godot Wild Jam #89 with my entry Katamari Mech Spacey.

You can use whatever assets you want, as long as they are not AI-generated. Case-in-point, I primarily used Kenney assets for that entry.

Fair to say its browser problem " Safari" on Firefox Mac OS no issues either . - another letdown by Apple  ( great machine but Xcode and now Safari doing shame to it )

It’s going downhill , expected some 90 hz at least on new Studio Display ( announced today )after 3 years , new speaker system , some newer thunderbolt and daisy linking system :man_shrugging:

Is this like joke in generally or all tech started delivering less for more ?
