Vscode debugging current scene

Question

I’m having issues getting the run pinned file function to work in vscode. Whenever I pin a scene and press run scene, it just runs the main scene no matter what. I had assumed this functionality was similar to pressing f6 in the editor so i can debug a specific scene, which is what I’m looking for. How do I get this function to work, and if it doesn’t work the way i think it does how do i achieve this functionality? I use GDscript.
