Hey everyone, I’ve been working on a project with Godot since a year or so. I’m quite happy with the engine, much better experience that what I had with Unity or Unreal. I can also see that the community as a whole is pretty cool. I’m quite new to the Forum, so hello everyone
My idea will be to become a bit more active, so you’ll see me around. Happy programming.
I am new to the new Q&A site (was active in the old one few years ago) and I was surprised that new users are not able to add more than one image to a post. Can you revise this limitation? What purpose it serves?
Sandboxing new users in your community so that they cannot accidentally hurt themselves, or other users while they are learning what to do.
Granting experienced users more rights over time, so that they can help everyone maintain and moderate the community they generously contribute so much of their time to.
With all the respect to Jeff, many of the limitations he wrote about sound arbitrary and have little to do with these two goals.
But specifically for the image limitation, it is a basic functionality anyone expects on day 0 of using a Q&A site.
Imagine a novice Godot user experiencing an issue, they come to the forum to ask a question with a bunch of screenshots and… nope, you can not upload them all. Now instead of solving the Godot related issue the newcomer is trying to solve the issue of not being able to fully specify their question. What a great way to welcome someone to the community.
Hi everyone. I’ve been deep in the game of music production, software development, and one toe in the pool of writing. I’m now completely focused on game development, in the Godot engine. I hope to have great things to share soon, and I look forward to any opportunities to collaborate.
I just wanted to say thank you for the warm welcome! I’m really excited to be here and to dive deeper into all things Godot. I’ve been exploring the engine for a while now, and I’m looking forward to learning more, sharing ideas, and contributing to this amazing community.
If anyone has any tips or resources for a beginner, I’m all ears! Looking forward to connecting with you all and seeing what we can create together.
Hi everyone! I’ve been exploring Godot and love how lightweight and powerful it is. I’m particularly interested in optimizing performance for 2D/3D games and integrating custom shaders. What are your go-to techniques for improving efficiency in Godot? Looking forward to learning from the community!
