What collision method is more performative for larger areas

If you have a big area like a town with different sized buildings and many large sized object. Is it better to use 1-4 big polygon(s) to make the basic outline of the playable area, mixed with tilemap collisions for smaller props and objects. Or would using tilemap collisions for each object be better performance-wise?

I feel like using one big polygon with however many complex points would be taxing but at the same. Having tons of basic shaped individual collision polygons might be just at taxing. But I’ve got no clue tbh.
