Why will meshes imported into engine not provide an "id" when collided with?

Hello all! I am having a problem where I am trying to detect if the player’s hitbox collides with an imported meshe’s CollisionShape3D Node. The problem is, unlike a mesh I created within Godot, if I try to run this line of code:

collisionInst = get_slide_collision(0).get_collider_id()

there will be no collider_id instance variable. Why is this?

The mesh’s Node hierarchy looks like so:

And if it is helpful, this is what the Mesh + CollisionShape3D looks like in the editor (looks the same as normal):
