This is a tractor:

That’s a tractor with a backhoe and loader/plow attached on the ends.

The way to understand my point is this; if the tractor does nothing else but drive it is useless (towing machinery are obvious exceptions). This is not the case with a delivery van or a taxi.

I do understand your point now. And my confusion. Your definition of a tractor is different than mine.

We will probably have to agree to disagree. Because I personally think that building a tractor that can cover specific acreage is a lot easier than navigating city streets with lights, other vehicles and pedestrians.
