If the RPG maker forum is just as nice as the godot forum then this is one of the biggest comneti losts of all time! : (
Is ther a way i can help?
I am not a web/forum Dev i just finished my first game a while ago.
Wich you can check out her if you want to get an idea of my scills.
@SpaghettiCoder and anyone else who can help;
I want to thank Dragonforge Dev. Per his advice, it seemed pertinent to ask this question here.
This is a question from the team. We are trying to figure out the best way to format the Godot section so that it has relevant sections for users of the engine to find resources, tutorials, and get help.
What board and sections would you like to see and would be useful to you and other Godot developers to use?
There are a bit of unknowns when it comes to godot for us and we just want to ensure that we can scaffold it correctly. But basically, we need to know if there are any particular asset standards that would necessitate having specific resource sections, or can we pick and choose it from the general asset sections. Same for any sort of add-ons (plug-ins, whatever they call them here). Would they even like to see these featured, or do they have somewhere else they get this type of stuff?
Also, what kind of tagging categories would help sort through threads, assets, etc.
Things like Godot help, Godot showcase, Godot general, Godot Announcements and Godot showcase?
For Godot resources, I’m unsure because most standard files, like PNG, WAV, and other standard formats, work fine in most engines (Godot includet).
And do we nead Godot showcase?
I am unshure about this.
Godot already has an asset store, so I don’t think there’s much need for one.
There are educational demos from the engine’s developers.
But what’s missing is a good collection of large alternative demo projects, like this one.
But if your forum uses a ribbon design (like this one), then all the threads will, of course, get lost.
Here’s another topic that might be of interest for a forum like this: porting games from RPG Maker to Godot.
I’m sad… You know? I’ll miss it forever.
