Hi there guys, so right now the player can dash , wall jump, run, walk, and he has a variable jump.

have you also added jump buffer and coyote time?
Uhh not yet it’s hard to code and tutorial’s for it are hard to find
yeah, I understand. my player movement code is about 155 lines of code. The best way to do them is actually very simple, just make a timer and start and send them at certain times.
of course you don’t need to add them if you are going for a more simple and smaller game, but if it is going on steam I highly recommend for you to add them.

ok, but be careful of scope creep. Metroidvanias are insanely difficult to pull off as just one person, even if it is smaller. you will probably revise an areas layout a good amount of times.
