I believe it is allowed, keep in mind the forums are fairly slow. Most don’t get a response for around an hour. This speed is good for open source projects that play the long game with an easy to jump in todo list, having the project publicly available. You could bump your project post with updates every now and then, this Hunt for Immortal project has been keeping updates, though I don’t know if they take volunteers.
