Can I delete more than 1 tile at a time?

I know that I can delete a tile by right-click, but when I need to delete many tiles, it becomes tiring. Is there an efficient way to delete an area of tiles at once?

Solved:

To delete a rectangle area of tiles, use Shift + Ctrl + RMB

To create a rectangle of tiles, use Shift + Ctrl + LMB
