Cant load files for instancing portion of the tutorial

I’m following along in the tutorial and I cant get it to work. The Only file i can open in the import window is the engine.cfg. The file Project.godot is only present when all files is selected but it will not let me import it. When I import the .cfg file it will load into the main engine but output an error loading screen alert. Any help will be appreciated. I really want to learn how to use this engine and this issue is disheartening. Thank you in advanced.

  • engine.cfg is for Godot 2.1
  • project.godot is for Godot 3.0

What tutorial are you following? It sounds like you may be trying to follow a 3.0 tutorial but you downloaded the 2.1 binary. On the docs page, in the bottom left there is a version. If it shows “2.1” or “stable”, then you’re seeing the 2.1 docs. If it says “latest”, you’re looking at 3.0 docs.
