Creating accurate 2D character shadows

I am trying the to create shadow for my 2d character. But the shadows created using LightOccluder2d are very boxy and rectangular, irrespective of my character mesh. The goal is to get shadows similar to the one in video where the head, legs etc. are accurately reflected and not one giant box.

Any help, pointers towards resources etc. will be appreciated. Thanks!
