Thanks for adding the jolt physics in Godot officially as built in physics. Previous times, I struggled a lot to include it in my project but I failed.
Also I like the shadow mask feature of lightmap. Now it is easy to create a (fake) high graphics webgl game.
And also the 3d ruler in the editor is so helpful.
Can`t wait to see the full release.
When will Godot 4.4 be released? I am looking forward to it by alot!
I downloaded and started using 4.4-dev7 for Ostrich Onslaught, and Jolt fixed a few really annoying collision bugs present in GodotPhysics. I too had tried installing it in the past, with mixed results. I hated that it could not be embedded into my exported file, so I stayed with GodotPhysics despite its flaws.
I enabled the ruler, and it works, but now I can’t disable it unless I restart Godot. I haven’t used most of its new features, but it has been running stable since I installed it.
I watched Gamefromscratch’s review of it, and it has a lot of REALLY nice quality of life features in addition to Jolt. Object snapping and real time continuous camera preview are two that I’m most looking forward to trying out.
Hopefully it will release in the beginning of the new year! 2025!
I am really very excited for it.
Me too!
