Flickering Collision with platforms on a PathFollow2D

My Problem

I set a kinematic body to travel in a given direction such as up or sideways. If it’s up the player sort of falls into the platform and then the game corrects the collision really quickly. If it goes Sideways my platformer Character Falls off the platform not bsorbing the motion.
