Got some fair feedback on my barrel thread that my props were way too heavy, so this crate was rebuilt properly low-poly. It’s 80 tris now (38 for the LOD1), down from about 4.2k, and comes in Pristine, Weathered and Damaged.
- The lid still opens and closes with
open_lid()/close_lid(), or you can just smash it withhit()/break_apart(). - It breaks into 13 pieces now instead of 56, and they settle properly on Godot’s default physics, no Jolt needed.
- Collision comes from an MIT-licensed
dungeon_prop.gd, so there’s no import script to set up. The HD version is still included if you want it for close-ups.
Made with AI-assisted scripting in Blender. Textures come from Poly Haven CC0 scans, and no image-generation models were used.

Old on the left, new on the right. Does 80 tris hold up at your camera distance?
