Hello everyone,
I noticed the forum has a Forum Feedback section for discussing the forum itself, but there does not seem to be a dedicated place for feedback on the Godot Engine — feature requests, user experience suggestions, or general engine‑level discussion that is not a bug report.
Would it not make sense to have a separate “Godot Engine Feedback” category? It could help keep engine‑related suggestions from getting lost among help requests or forum‑meta topics.
As a side note for the developers: I have been running into repeated issues downloading the official export templates — the download often fails partway through and cannot be resumed. From what I have seen in recent discussions and GitHub issues, others are hitting the same problem. It might be worth checking if the download server or mirrors are misconfigured.

There already is a dedicated GitHub page for these:

Agreed, but they rarely come here.

You definitely should. I had recommended people do that a while back. I don’t know if anyone ever did it though.

### Tested versions
Godot v4.4.1
### System information
I'm on a 2020 Macboo… k Pro M1 running Sonoma 14.3 using Godot v4.4.1
### Issue description
I tried downloading the export templates through the editor and it downloads about 60-70% of the file then stops and says "can't connect to the mirror." So I tried downloading the templates through godot's website and it got partway through and then failed. and the same thing happened downloading through github.
I've tried restarting my computer and router and have tried on multiple days with the same problems. a few people on reddit seem to be experiencing something similar, as well as a couple people on the godot forums from march of last year that never got solved
feel free to close this if this is not the right place to be reporting this problem
### Steps to reproduce
trying to download Godot_v4.4.1-stable_export_templates.tpz from https://github.com/godotengine/godot/releases/tag/4.4.1-stable
### Minimal reproduction project (MRP)
does not apply? i think?

Looks like they’re still trying to figure out what’s going on so adding more details could help if you have them.
True i gave them some extra details. The issue is only a month or so old so lets hope they can fix it.

We reached out to GitHub to see if they can resolve it in their end, but if not we’ll have to find other solutions. Sorry for the inconvenience

Did you try downloading it from here?
I think i managed to download it with godot after some tries, alternatively the best that can be downloaded with the browser could be that one:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/godot-engine.mirror/files/4.4.1-stable/Godot_v4.4.1-stable_mono_export_templates.tpz/download
