Hey may I get sequrity related advice šŸ˜„?

Denuvo is the best game protection there is at this moment and even it is not perfect. But, if what you want is the best protection available for your game’s assets, look into Denuvo. This is not a recommendation to use it, just a pointer to what to look at.

Thanks bro :+1:.. i will check this surely :slightly_smiling_face:

Don’t waste your time looking into Denuvo, it isn’t designed for indie devs.
It apparently costs $0.50 per game activation or $25,000 per month!!!
Also absolutely no one is going to play an indie game protected by Denuvo, its pretty much universally hated among gamers.

I know it’s been linked already, but if you haven’t go read all of the thread How safe is godot right now?

That thread already addresses your concerns (in my humble opinion)

Ok.. :ok_button:.. never mind

As I said at length in the thread @Frozen_Fried linked at the beginning of this thread, you can’t stop them. You can only slow them down. A much bigger problem is getting people to play your games.

Look at Stardew Valley. It’s a very popular indie game. The second most popular ever, after Minecraft. People don’t steal their assets. They make clones. You’re worrying about something that will likely never happen even if you game becomes popular.

Just make your game.

Well.. you are right.. i am just overthinking :downcast_face_with_sweat:.. but the thing is I know my ideas are workful and i just fear sometimes.. well leaves these.. i understand your meaning.. ā€œ enjoy the game no matter your are playing or making itā€:grin::blush:.. thanks :+1:

You are stuck in what’s known as analysis paralysis, also known as future-proofing in software development. The result of which is you do all this planning and worrying and never get your game made.

I say this based on the number, frequency and topics of your posts over the past few weeks in this forum.

Might be possible.. i am just a beginning.. who is trying to improve skills and learning evrything fast to make a better future.. . So probably i am behaving like this due to lack of knowledge. And learning.. well i am mostly self learner. So i don’t know what to study first. I just learn the topic. That i thought it’s important. :downcast_face_with_sweat::sweat_smile:

I’ll say, just start making the game

Yea i did this. And failed very badly…

You can waste your time doing that if you want. It will not stop someone from decompiling your code and just removing your security checks. Locks are to keep honest people out. Picking physical locks and decrypting code are a lot easier than most people realize.

You are worrying about things that are WAY outside your skillset. I believe this is why you keep worrying about this and thinking about solutions. Because you don’t understand that enough about programming to understand that this is a waste of your time.
