How to get top on itch.io without changing my game's page?

Does anyone know how to make my game popular on itch.io? Right now it is not even on the search results, Want to get it atleast in the first 3 lines when searching WRLD (my game is called wrldbilding)

Marketing. Itch ranks games based on popularity. If you’re trying to “cheat” the system, you most likely can’t, and as far as I know, it’s against the rules anyway.

You should first tell people around you, likely friends, about your game and let them play it. If they can’t find it in the search, give them the URL to your game, and it might get more popular.

That being said, I’m new to Godot and publishing on itch, so I might not be correct. But I think if you get people to play your game in a local area, the algorithm might change and you can finally get search results for “wrldbilder” (I don’t know if I spelled that right)

Also, may I play your game? I’m intrigued by the concept of it​:wink:

Your game is not indexed.You can do 2 things:
1.Wait for few days,
2.Write a email to the itch io support

Go edit your game and make sure you have selected for it to be listed and indexed. They just added an option recently allowing you to turn it off. You may have done that by mistake. That’s something you can fix right now.

If you want people to find your games, make a DevLog for it. People read those and it can get you noticed.
