I have a large spritesheet which contains various terrain elements.
My understanding was that I could make atlas out of the file, and set the region the atlas uses for each sprite. If I change the region in the atlas, however, it changes for every sprite. Of course, I understand I could remedy this by making all sprites using the atlas unique, but doesn’t that eliminate any performance benefits that I’d be trying to accomplish by having everything in one file and having multiple nodes and sprites accessing that resource? If this is not the way this is supposed to be done, what is the proper way to accomplish what I am trying to do (large common spritesheet resource, various sprites and nodes take their textures from it)?
