I have a 3D scene with shadows cast by a directional light and it works well for the meshes but not so well for billboarded sprite3Ds I’m using for characters. As you might see in the screenshots below, when the character is facing the light it is perfectly fine, but when he is facing away, it is shaded as I hope but it is shaded to the point of being solid black. Is there a way of turning down how much the shading affects the character without turning it off completely?
It seems to be a problem with my baked light map. When I hide that, the lighting is perfectly normal. Having a weird problem with it where I click bake and it finishes instantly logging out “light map size: 1” whereas previously it would take a few minutes. Thinking this could be related to my shading being super dark
