How to structure a pokemon like game

It has an opening title and introduction which are scenes. A map which is a scene which links to capturing places, training places and battle scenes- is there any reason why all those places shouldn’t be one multipurpose scene? The places each separate inactive backgrounds and one or two “pokemon” and latter a few useable objects in the battle scenes.

If I’m understanding your question correctly…
I’d think something like pokemon centers or stores (as long as they are basic stores) could have a general center scene and store scene.

You could have a battle scene and use that for all battles.

Beyond that though, it really depends on how you want to organize your game. Could have a base scene that is a training place, store, center and battle? Sure But to me it sounds like a pain to handle things that way.

I’m going to agree with you - it sounds easier to create several scenes rather than try to reuse the same scene for different things.

The game is second player- like Pokemon games the graphics don’t do anything (as in they don’t have meaningful interactions ther it is for show only) but show the players and enemy moves. All the scripts only need input from the player (and AI) and global variables. The only difference of children for the training, finding and battlings (other than the children’s own variance) placement is either one or two children.
