I tried over multiple days to register an account for the forum access, but each time the registration page would let me submit, but then return back to the same page with no errors, but some fields blanked back out.
I tried Chrome and Safari.
In the end I logged in using my Discord account as a workaround.

I had a similar issue, tried joining with Firefox and it never worked. It worked with Edge… please don’t make people use Edge 
I also had this issue, and ended up using GitHub sign in to work around it.
I am using Firefox on Linux.
Using a plugin to switch my user agent string and relevant navigator.* properties to claim that I was running Chrome on Windows did not fix this.
Same here, I had to resort to logging in with a GitHub account. I usually avoid that, as avoiding interconnections between my accounts on various websites is a serious matter to me.
I know you guys have to fight the spam somehow, but forcing people to go through third parties (which not everyone finds trustworthy) to register, isn’t a good way either.
Moreover, it was extremely confusing, as there was no error message or anything, I just landed in the registration form again.
I just joined this forum for the first time today and I had this issue as well. It was really annoying. I tried registering with both Firefox and Edge and neither on worked. I ultimately had to log in through my Github account. I don’t like connecting user accounts from multiple sites so I hope this gets fixed soon.
Same issue. Spent a couple months hoping it would get fixed. Ended up using github.
Same here; very frustrating. Tried on Macbook & iPhone on multiple web browsers and didn’t work. I was able to register directly using my Steam Deck; it’s not accommodating to have to register through a handheld gaming console instead of a laptop
