I’m still in progress of completing some things before posting a thread/topic and I’m keeping a few unposted topics. However I see no ways to actually do it in the https://forum.godotengine.org/
Mind someone to add a way to make notes on the forum and saving unposted topics as drafts for future? I wish there would also a list of unposted drafts, so you could go back to and improve.
I’m really not feeling like posting everything immediately as that lowers the quality of the forum and takes people’s attention too early before the actual question formally forms up in my own mind.
It doesn’t look like you can do that as the original poster but there is the option available to save as draft when you press CLOSE when you reply to a post.

The problem with using external editor, is that you are probably already using it for other things and it can get mixed up, and if you are using multiple devices - desynced. Having notes/drafts on the site - makes it more organized and less error/mistakes prone in the long-run.
I thimk you can access your drafts, to make a draft just quit and not post it, it will automatically make a draft, to check your drafts just press on your account and select the human icon and press drafts
