Nice little game. I played for a while. I take it there’s no win condition?

Nope… yeah it like Tetris

Very sweet - which is surely appropriate for a dessert theme
And smooth and intuitive too, which isn’t a given, even for a simple game.

Any plans to build on it?

I might. But I also want to be paid if I do. Maybe I will start some kickstarter for v2.0.

There are things like balance issues to be ironed out and some design needed to allow the player to play for longer and still be interested.

Bumping this abit,if I could trouble some of you on the forums, could u help try my game? Someone claims she got 9165 points.

As the creator I only average 3-4k points.

Wondering if there are people that good at this. Was actually thinking of some things to make the game easier but I need some game stats, can u guys help me play it and screenshot your scores here if u want?

It’s hard to imagine going much further than that. Maybe you could make a calculation of how quickly customers spawn at higher levels versus the average time to reach a dispenser, to see if it’s even theoretically possible to do?

Dragonforge was showing off he got 9000 points along with this other person LOL… I am still wondering how they did it. Maybe photoshop

You have no idea how much good people are at games.I made a little game for the 20 Seconds Game Jam 2025 and MAN! I am glad that I added a leaderbroad.

NwithAHook played over 112 times! that takes more then 37 minutes.
Meanwhile no matter how hard i try, i can’t legally finish it under 12-ish seconds

I just found out that people played the game 517 times and it’s About 2 hours 52 minutes!

What’s new?

Fixed bug for the spam too fast but customer not picking up mainly and added a pink icecream and new banner

Excellent, though I didn’t experience any bugs, in the previous version or the new one

I think you could expand a lot on the experience with a few scoring mechanics, like extra points for how far down the line the customer is, or mechanics that encourage carrying two ice creams, like a bonus for how rapidly you serve consecutive customers.

I feel like ice creams should melt, intuitively speaking - an ice cream could melt after a certain amount of time in your little kittycat hand, creating a layer of strategy in when you pick up more than you need.

A penalty for throwing away ice cream (or letting it melt) also seems appropriate, though you may not want to have a lot of negative mechanics for a casual and cute game like this. I’m just trying to think of ways to make the gameplay interesting.

Like I said, I’m REALLY good at games.

Keep in mind I found a bug where I could deliver two ice creams to the same person because I was hitting the delivery buttons too close together, so I had to slow down my button presses.

With the new version, first try:

First try:

Second try once I was used to the pink:

It’s all about economy of movement.

  1. I’m not sure how the scoring works, but I’m assuming it’s about speed of delivery. So I try to get the customer served before they pass the blue popsicle stand.
  2. While waiting for the next customer to appear, wait by the blue. If it’s blue, grab it. If it’s green you’re already halfway there. If it’s yellow (or now pink) you grab it on the way down.
  3. One you get enough people to have two customers, start delivering two at a time. You might be a little late on the first one (i.e. they hit the counter), but the second one will be an earlier delivery.
  4. Once you get two or more of a color on the screen, you go for doubles, based on the first person in line. Especially if you need two green. That second popsicle will keep driving up your points.
  5. Prioritize green over blue, and blue over pink, and pink over yellow. In other words, you have a shorter distance to collect them respectively. And in late game, you’re just trying not to lose customers.
  6. Once the customers come fast enough, waiting that extra fraction of a second at green pays off because if there’s two in a row, you save time, and if not, you know where you’re going on the way back to the counter.
  7. Use yellow and pink double deliveries very later game just to keep the line down. Do two or three of those for every green run.

Lol I designed the game and I know the principles but lol my score still only went 5-7k XD.

I found adding pink made me confused abit although it was designed to reduce incidence of green chains that usually kill people.

I think for most people it’s gonna cause them to get confused with yellow as an unintended side effect after trying and I thought, hmmm interesting and left it in.

Having to face the popsicle stand in order to be able to pick the popsicle of that type/color is a bit glitchy.

I’d say that score is pretty good, wouldn’t you think?
Ok, maybe not. But I was immediately hooked by this game. Good job.

I second that. If the get-icecream area has to be small (say, for challenge reasons), some kind of demarkation of the area would be nice.

This is the problem that always causes my run to end. Failing to pick up a popsicle when I expected, because my brain is already onto moving away and I always have to go back for it.
