MadKeyb — a cartoon typing trainer where you smash your keyboard to defend a burger joint from monsters (Godot 4)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on MadKeyb — a fast-paced arcade game that’s secretly a typing trainer. You run a burger joint in a monster-infested suburb, and the only way to keep it is by smashing your keyboard.

Here’s the deal: letters pop up above each monster’s head. Type 'em out and you toss the monster some food. Feed 'em enough, and they blow up in a glorious, cartoonish mess of skulls and feathers. Zombies, skeletons, weird little rag dolls — everybody gets a burger, everybody explodes.

It’s made in Godot 4, and you can grab it here:

Quick note on a couple things. The main menu doubles as a music player, so you can just kick back and listen to the soundtrack. The tracks are by Ragsy Doll — one of the main characters — and her band, and the vocals are sung in an artlang (a made-up artistic language). Also, just so it’s out in the open: the graphics and the music were made with AI tools.

Give it a shot. If it gets a reaction out of you, I’m happy to hear it.
