I am trying to make a multiplayer game, but in some cases my testing devices does not connect to the host. I want the game to be run locally (no global server; everyone can host and people in the same LAN can join).

My testing devices:
-PC (Windows 11)
-Laptop (Windows 11)
-Mobile (Android)

Following tests were successful:
-Host: mobile, client: laptop or pc
-Host: pc, client: pc (multiple windows)

Following tests were not successful:
-Host: pc, client: laptop or mobile
-Host: laptop, client: pc or mobile

Other information:
-All devices were in the same (W)LAN
-I use the 3.5.1stable on my pc
-The built-in signals “connected_to_server” and “network_peer_connected” do not get triggered so it seems like the programm is unable to connect

All in all I can not use any Windows device for starting a game.

I hope you can help me.

The first thing to try if you have these kind of problems is to try and connect using Telnet. If that doesn’t work, you’re blocked. Windows firewall maybe?

Thank you. I’ll try it.
