My First Godot Game

My first game! It’s a simple and basic game. I just wanted to get some hands-on experience and start learning how Godot works.

The idea is simple: control the vehicle and push the spheres into the marked area. The game ends once you’ve delivered all the spheres.

Use the arrow keys to control the vehicle: Up to move forward, Down to reverse, and Left/Right to turn.

You can download and play the game using the link below.

Nice.

Try make a few more levels and upload it to itch.io or similar website for play web version.

Great. This is exactly the scope a first game should have. I’ll second what @artemisia said; add a few more levels and upload to a platform like itch to make it more accessible. That way more people will likely try it out and give you feedback.

Thanks for your advice. I think it’s a great idea and probably the next step to keep moving forward and continue learning. You’ve given me some direction, so thank you!

Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep working on it.

Thank you

Because it’s 2D game i’d change controls for UP/DOWN being turning keys and LEFT/RIGHT being movement, other than that game is good for your first project

wish you luck with godot

add more colours, a skill tree, larger map, different vehicles and some automation (belts and bots) and I’m sure you’ll get RCE hooked to do a mindless task for hours.
Where’s all the stuff going once you pushed it into the marked area? Dropping down to the next level to be cleaned up?
