Are you sure that you can add paid currency in the game?

Roblox will send their lawyers…

We will give credits to roblox for the official make, and also as u can see others clones having paid currency too like Vortex, maybe Polytoria and else. Thanks for answering!

Everyone, ladies and gentle mans, join the discord server Nexora Community , to see more leaks and annoucements on NEXORA! Also can chat with others

Yeah, I don’t get why Roblox, Minecraft etc doesn’t sue their copycats.Maybe it’s too expensive to sue this many games.

Just got to know that Polytoria was made in Godot.

Discord isn’t a very user-friendly place. Not everyone is enthusiastic about it. Just for reference.

okay i guess?

If I understand the question correctly, then. Well, ideally, you’d have your own website. Threads can also be posted on regular websites like this one.

Converting virtual currency into real money is currently a non-trivial challenge.

I’d suggest paying extra attention to not allowing that, it is a legal mess and can easily lead to issues, anything from money laundering to gambling laws, Steam has been in hot water over this recently

It’s better not to think about currency and stuff while your game is in a very early stage. You should focus on the main gameplay of the game now.

Ur right

Guys everyone of you are right, i should not think of currency still. Me and my friend still developing the website and working on NEXORA release still. You guys were always right.

Indeed, mostly a suggestion to look into that stuff before even considering putting such a system in to not (in the best case) waste time on something you have to abandon, or (in the worst case) lead to legal issues

I think ethically, having a premium currency is weird from a player perspective and ethically wrong if you believe that using IRL money is a bad game mechanic. If what you need to pay for is server hosting, then either ask the players to pay to play a game’s server hosting cost directly, or ask the creators to pay for their game to be hosted themselves. If you use a premium currency and allow for things like microtransactions, daily rewards, or other Dark Patterns in creator games, then you’re basically opening up your platform to become a hellscape where money is a game mechanic using psychological patterns to take advantage of players in order to make it appealing (just like how Roblox does it).

Guys lets stop the currency theme :sob:

I understand your problem.

I don’t know if I’m missing something, but I struggle to see what the end goal is here - Roblox already exists. If you had a compelling USP of some kind (like making the entire client/backend systems FOSS/self-hostable, or something), you’d have a much better north star to guide development. For now, just redoing Roblox feels like a really big undertaking without a clear payoff, and it’s really unclear why anyone would choose it over the original.

I don’t mean to discourage you, I just think you need to think carefully about what you want your project to be.

Also; if you go further with this project, you’ll need to change the logo. You’re basically daring Roblox’s lawyers, and they’re not known to be very forgiving.
