Nexora - an Roblox Alternative - "Nexora 0.1.2 v."

Here’s a photo!

this isn’t a new idea, lots of people have been doing this with different engines/languages (especially with modern roblox updates fueling the want for one)

I’d honestly recommend for you to wait until you have a decently feature packed client to release instead of constantly releasing client releases adding basic features. Right now you are presenting a very unfinished product, which can cause all potential hype to completely die since you’ve already presented a half-baked product. If this is also your first Godot project I’d recommend shelving this idea since recreating Roblox is VERY complicated for a beginner (and even intermediate and advanced!) which could overwhelm you. Instead, work on smaller projects to learn about different parts of Godot which then you can apply to a finished product. I’d also reccomend not just replicating Roblox one to one and instead take the idea of Roblox and add a new spin on it. Godot gives you a lot of power to make a bunch of cool stuff, why not take advantage of it? The thinking of taking an idea and making a new spin on it is what’s fueled so many legendary games, and helps games stand out from one another. Or maybe making a unique sandbox game completely unrelated to Roblox in the first place like athousandships mentioned. It’s YOUR project, what do you WANT?

Yeah, I get what you mean. I probably have been releasing basic features too quickly before everything is properly polished. I don’t really want to shelve Nexora though — I want to keep working on it and learn as I go. I also agree that I shouldn’t just copy Roblox 1:1, so I’ll try to give Nexora its own identity while keeping the parts of the idea I like.

Everyone im quiting publishing early unfinished versions of nexora

But i will annouce when i will post Devlog 1 in my youtube channel.
