Nice one!
I gave it a play and had fun, though I’m very bad at racing games and found I went off track and lost a lot very abruptly.
Are you planning on developing it further?
Thank you for your reply. About your question for developing the game further- I had initially thought of making this game a very big game. I cannot add more cars and race tracks to this game because I am not a very advanced programmer and my human memory is limited, so, I cannot write code which involves a lot of difficultly. I also cannot write a lot of lines of code for any project. I make the 3D models for my games which also makes me forget a lot of things while making a game. I am new to Godot and Godot is a amazing game engine to work with. I really enjoy working with the Godot editor. I have also made games with other game engines like GDevelop, CopperCube and microStudio. I have mostly made sports games which are on my itch.io page. All my games are completely free
About the car going off the track, I used the physics feature of Godot for that. Gravity helps in detecting the car going off the track.
Oh don’t worry, my going off road was my own skill issue, nothing wrong with the game.
No worries if you don’t continue with it - you’ve finished projects, which is more than I ever do! And yeah. It can be really difficult to figure out what a piece of code is doing on coming back to it later - even if you wrote it yourself. I always try to break my code up into small functions with clear names to help me keep track of it. Where that isn’t appropriate, I at least make sure my variables have clear names and I add comments where necessary. If you’re not already doing these things, you might find it helps.
Thank you sharing your experience and knowledge.
The game turned out good according to me. Nice to see that you had fun playing the game. Made me very happy. It took me more than 20 days to make this game. After doing all the hard work which is making the game, I am very happy that this small game is a success. Thank you. I also thank all the people who have showed interest in this game which I saw from the link views and the number of downloads received for the game which are a nice number which I know through my itch.io account. Nice to see that the Godot community is so welcoming, united and kind hearted.
Glad to hear it!
And you’re welcome. What little knowledge I do have I’ll share. I’m still new here but people do seem very willing to help, it’s pretty great.
Old move games car racing is great! Nice use of godot’s physics and pi is also used in physics.
Sorry, I was not able to reply in time to you. I had a internet problem.
Thank you for your reply. Nice to know that you find this game great. Godot physics feature is really nice and yes, pi can be used in physics for calculations and everything. I used the knowledge of mathematics in this game. I used trigonometry and everything because we think in x, y and z coordinate system when we make a 3D computer game.
Can you make it not download?
