P&C Adventure Game. Popochiu or Escoria?

Hi all,

I’ve made a few games with Godot, but am branching into a LARGE game.

I’ve narrowed down to Popochiu or Escoria.

I’m after some feedback.

Escoria stalled there for some time, was Godot 3.x only, but has kicked off again, and looking like it’s back on track.

Popochiu though is quite a cool system, newer, but I like its direction.

Both projects understandably suffer with start stop, as is the nature of open source community projects. I appreciate them both.

However, I need to make a call. Which one will take me through over a project that might take say 3 years to make, or more?

What’s everyone’s thoughts? Any feedback, ideas, etc, would be appreciated.

Thank you

Try both and see how it goes!

Yes I have I guess. I was more interested in seeing if anyone has REALLY gone in, and done some testing, that might save me a few weeks of work checking them out thoroughly. Thank you though.

I’ve never used either, but Popochiu hasn’t been updated in 8 months, and Escoria was updated 11 hours ago. If you are looking 3 years into the future, and these are your only two choices, pick Escoria. It’s much more likely to still be supported in 3 years.
