Hi! I’m Jakub, a solo dev from Poland. Planet Coolkee is my puzzle game with glass marbles, out on iOS and Android, made in Godot 4.7.
You don’t swap marbles. You slide a whole column or the middle row, and marbles of one colour that meet on the middle row pop. There are 200 levels on 10 planets, a weekly Marathon, a Halloween adventure, races, and a new Duel mode: two boards side by side, every match you make drops extra marbles on your opponent, and whoever gets buried first loses.
A few things about how it’s built, in case it’s useful to someone:
- Godot 4.7 with the Mobile renderer on iOS (Metal) and Compatibility (GLES3) on Android. Keeping both looking the same took some work. Glow, light and the marble glass are tuned per renderer.
- The board is 3D. The marbles are real meshes with a glass shader, and the light on the board is a shader too (soft sunlight with leaf shadows, slowed down a lot after players said it flickered).
- It works fully offline. Every move goes into a local journal, and when the phone is online again a small server on Cloudflare Workers replays the moves to check the result before it gives rewards. That means the game rules exist twice, in GDScript and in TypeScript, and I keep them identical with test vectors. That part was harder than the game itself.
- 8 languages, including Chinese, Japanese and Korean, so fonts and text fitting were a big topic.
- The thing I’m fighting now is size. The current build is around 750 MB, mostly textures and planet models imported without compression. The next update cuts that down a lot.
Made by one indie developer in Poland. The first fully playable version was built solo; today AI tools help speed up development.

Happy to answer questions about any of this, and honest feedback on the game is very welcome.
