There is no plan to have a category for AI answers as we generally don’t allow them. They do sometimes slip through, but we try to remove them if they are flagged. That being said, it’s sometimes not easy to know what is an AI answer and what isn’t. This is especially true for answers from non-native speakers that use translators, and more and more translation services use AI under the hood, making it harder to differentiate.
That being said, please do flag posts that blatantly copy & paste AI. It is the same as posting a screenshot of a google search: The user could have done that themselves, it does not add anything to the conversation here.
Good idea, I have just added that as a reporting category. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you! It means a lot ![]()
Though to be honest, we are a bit behind on moderation here on the forum. We plan to change that though: onboarding new moderators, making clearer rules, and so on. It just takes a bit of time. The rules need a general overhaul anyway. We started the forum with the most basic stuff to see what works, and now that we got more feedback we can adjust it accordingly. But it won’t happen over night, there are a lot of things to do.
But yes, you all are right, the forum feedback category is useless if we don’t reply. We will try to be a bit more active here!
The way that sponsorships like this work is simple: They donate money to the foundation, and the foundation announces that they are now a sponsor. It does not effect the direction of the engine or our moderation decisions. It’s honestly the same old: we had gambling and crypto companies donating money before, and we didn’t implement any crypto stuff either.
Same with the new sponsor: it will not effect our moderation here regarding LLMs (or have any effect on the engine development). Because as you said, people posting here want the insight of actual developers.
I hope this clarifies things a bit, and we will try to be a bit more active in the Forum Feedback category!
