Scrib’s Inkcident — Android survivor roguelite looking for playtest feedback

Hi everyone! I’m developing Scrib’s Inkcident in Godot: a portrait-mode Android survivor roguelite set in an ink-and-paper cartoon world. It is currently available as a free Google Play closed test.

You move, dodge and collect drops while weapons attack automatically. Level-ups pause the action and let you choose weapons or upgrades, with evolutions and permanent character, weapon and stage unlocks. There are seven themed stages, bosses every ten waves, and harder endless waves after the wave-50 finale. Runs can be saved and continued offline. English, German, French and Spanish are supported.

I would really appreciate feedback on:

  • Combat readability: can you tell what hit you on a phone screen?
  • Weapon builds: which upgrades feel useful, weak or too strong?
  • Difficulty: where do the waves start feeling unfair?
  • Performance and touch controls on your Android device.

To join, use the same Google account for these two steps:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/scribs-inkcident-tester
  2. Opt into the Google Play test and install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/org.scribsinkcident.printshop.prototype

If you can, please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and try a few runs during that time. Honest feedback is the goal; no positive review or payment is required. Please reply here with your device and anything that felt confusing or frustrating.

Below are staged in-game screenshots with the English interface. Thanks for taking a look!
