The new World Environment in Godot 4

hi guys :slight_smile: What’s up with you guys? i have a question or problem: now in godot 4 how to use world environment with ‘compatibility’ renderer. I see that the ‘Glow’ property is only affected if the renderer is ‘forward+’ :(. and I can’t use the world environment anymore

You can check the 4.x OpenGL Compatibility tracker to see what features are still missing. Issue #66455 tracks the progress for glow in particular. The assigned engine dev Clay says:

This PR is planned to be implemented by the end of June. I.e. in time for 4.1 as the rendering priorities article says.

I doubt this will make it into 4.1… there is already feature freeze and I didn’t see it yet.

Maybe 4.2 or 4.3+
