Using shape keys or something similar in gridmap meshes

Is there a way to slightly customize some meshes in a Gridmap?

I know that Gridmap doesn’t instantiate meshinstances. But since I can use the mesh shader to animate each tile, do you guys know of a way of using something like INSTANCE_ID or similar to “randomize” some properties of the shader in each tile?
