So I was working on a game jam and I had made a post about achieving a certain invisibility reveal effect Invisiblity Reveal Shader - #13 by gertkeno , and shortly after working on that I had googled, “Godot Hidden” as I was trying to find the API docs for detecting if a node is hidden or shown to do a thing.
If you read the rest of the “article” it is just verbatim AI regurgitation of the Godot forum post. Super duper eerie, and frustrating that it beats out the SEO!
I also hate how AI-generated websites have made the internet an altogether less useful space. On the grand scale of things it probably doesn’t do too much, but DuckDuckGo lets you report slop farms in search results. If you press the three dots to the right of the link and press ‘share feedback’, it’s possible to report the site.
AI is very good at the Google SEO game. And now that Google does not want you to leave it’s own ecosystem the whole point of SEO is dying anyway. If you want to be in Google results, you have to pay. Personally, I now never use Google. Have not done for a long time. If only there was more competition in the mobile OS market. Even Android is not what it was, as it is trying to recreate the Apple ecosystem, and is tightening up and gatekeeping access more and more strictly. SEO was a poop storm before AI, but yes, people are using AI to make it a poop-nado.
Its not necessarily google results in the OP’s case.
That is duckduckgo logo the default search engine is bing (if I am not mistaken).
In the same vein as OP, I duckduckgo’d (searched) looking for shortcuts to filter out non-unique nodes from an array in GDScript and its AI spit back my own forum post that was the lesser efficient of the ones posted in the same thread here

Duck duck go is its own search engine. It doesn’t use Bing or Google (might have used Google search in a box hardware in early days), it uses itself, which is a clean room search engine implementation that isn’t tied to ads or SEO for search results.
Been using Go exclusively as my search engine for near enough a decade. Best search engine out there, and better at not being enslaved to AI tech bro latest attempts at ruling the world
To answer OP : you have AI search assist enabled by default in duck duck go, which will be an attempt at summarizing the results. If your previous post as Dre Dyson is the only relevant result, it will quote verbatim from it. All AI assist search results are like that. Duck duck go makes it easy to not have it appear as the top result if you don’t want to : I have to explicitly ask for AI search Assist by clicking on it.
Wow: the site even kindly asks me to turn off my ad blocker to support them. I still get a bit mad about the audacity our economy brings out in people.
In fact Duckduckgo does use Bing. It supplements its own web crawler with Bing.

Most of our search result pages feature one or more Instant Answers. To deliver Instant Answers on specific topics, DuckDuckGo leverages many sources, including specialized sources like Sportradar and crowd-sourced sites like Wikipedia. We also maintain our own crawler (DuckDuckBot) and many indexes to support our results. Of course, we have more traditional links and images in our search results too, which we largely source from Bing. Our focus is synthesizing all these sources to create a superior search experience.
Hmmm, wonder if that is new, they use to be proud of their independence. Not a fan of that, thanks for the heads up, but sourcing additional results from Bing for images and search results can mean anything and everything these days.
It’s always been that way as far as I’m aware, at least in the decade or so I’ve been using DuckDuckGo. I don’t mind, personally. I still much prefer the experience to Google.
By the way, I keep seeing this thread pop up, and I can’t help but read it as Weird AL
