Well, I upgraded to Godot 4.5

Just yesterday, I upgraded to Godot 4.5 (I use Debian 13 btw), and I haven’t noticed any differences from Godot 4.3 which is was on previously, is there a difference that I should be aware of?

I recommend reading the changelogs between versions.

Maybe most of the big changes in Godot 4.5 are under the hood, not something easily noticeable right away.

this is very helpful.

Seriously? You changed from 4.3 to 4.5 and nothing has changed!

I suppose that is a compliment to the Godot team for ensuring backward compatibility as much as possible but so much has changed and improved. The change logs are extensive to say the least.

@tibaverus already linked this one:

And these changes:

Perhaps none of these changes affected the way your game works or touched on anything you use, but seriously? Nothing has changed!

Yeah, also, i did not use that many changing fetures, mainly just counting floating point integers, and using Labels

If upgrading doesn’t break your project, than I’d say yes absolutely. Just make sure you make a backup before upgrading just in case.

It’s less why, and more why not?

It wasn’t from 4.3 to 4.5, it was from 4.4 to 4.5.

Ok but

I think that answers that.
