Where can I find documentation on Godot monitoring ?

There is very few explanations on how the Godot monitor works, I’m a little lost.

Can someone explain to me what “Mat Changes” / “Shader Changes” and “Surface Change” mean ?
If I have zero object in my scene, these three parameters are at 0.
If I have one object with only one surface and only one material, everything goes to 2.
Two objects with two materials / shaders and it goes to three. If both have the same material, it stays at two. I’m confused.
